Arizona Hellenic Foundation - Hellenic Education & Culture....

The Foundation is also committed to the development of cultural enrichment within the Valley’s Greek communities. To support this development, the Foundation makes monetary donations to local organizations that generate and further the development of Hellenism in our communities. This is aimed at our youth and includes groups such as Sons of Pericles, Maids of Athena, Church Dance Groups, and Greek Schools. The Foundation also sponsors events such as youth camps and trips to Greece. The group must submit a written request to the Foundation Board, with a written Essay on the use of the donation. We want our youth to be proud of their heritage, and pass on many of the Hellenic traditions to their children and grandchildren.

Thank you to all who attended this wonderful event!

As part of the Arizona Hellenic Foundation's cultural mission the foundation sponsored a concert by Anny Onoufriou and Sofia Kamayianni. This was a repeat performance for Sofia Kamayianni who entertained the Foundation's supporters in September 2011. See video above, Sofia singing "To Vrady", her own composition.

The concert, held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral community hall in Phoenix, Az., on May 3rd, 2012 was well attended. The variety of songs performed, along with the velvet voice of Anny Onoufriou and the piano playing of Sofia Kamayianni mesmerized the attendees. Their rendition of "Amazing Grace" brought people to their feet, wanting more. Please keep checking the Foundation's web site for a future performance by these two wonderful entertainers.
